Temple of Artemis
The Temple of Artemis was located near the ancient city of Ephesus, about 50 km south from the modern port city of İzmir, in Turkey. Artemis was a Greek goddess, the virginal huntress and twin of Apollo, who supplanted the Titan Selene as goddess of the Moon. Of the Olympian goddesses who inherited aspects of the Great Goddess of Crete, Athena was more honored than Artemis at Athens.

Library of Celsus
....
The building is important as one of few remaining examples of an ancient Roman-influenced library. It also shows that public libraries were built not only in Rome itself but throughout the Roman Empire.

* Temple of Artemis
* Ephesus
* Temple of Hadria
* Library of Celsus
* The Great Theater of Ephesus
The first stop is at the remains of Temple of Artemis that was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It was rebuilt by Alexander the Great right after he took over the control of the city from the Persians.
Next, you will reach the city of Ephesus where history and archaeology are prominent. Ephesus was the Capital of the Province of Asia Minor during the Roman Era, and was, therefore, the scene of many political intrigues while bearing an immense richness due to its port and its trading activities. A city with such importance and wealth had prestigious buildings that survived up to today in a wonderful state of preservation.
Walk on the Marble Road that runs through the city, having various structures resting on it: Temple of Hadrian is a unique beauty with its articulate facade while Library of Celsus has all the expression of the grandeur of the Roman Period.
At the steps of the library you will be shown the sign of menorah that verifies the strong Jewish presence in this prosperous port city. Among all the archaeological remains, the Great Theater of Ephesus is probably the most impressive edifice Leaving Ephesus.
